Tell us about your career journey – where did it all start?

My ACCA journey is actually something that happened by chance. I was the first one in my family to take commerce (always wanted to do an MBA) and go to London to study. Finally fighting all odds, taking a self-funded student loan I went London, did my ACCA and MBA, worked for many MNC's like Warner Brothers and now have my own practice of accounts and audit and an educational institute - Genesis Education.

What would your younger self say if they could see you now?

My younger self would be very proud of me. I have fought all odds in life right from dreaming against what my family wanted (which is taking science stream), and being the first one from my small town to go abroad to study. Finishing ACCA and an MBA, self financing myself for all the education, and also coming back to India and starting my own accounting firm and educational institute.
