Tell us about your career journey – where did it all start?

My career journey to become a professional accountant with ACCA began just after high school. My first job was at Combined Accounting Services where I was exposed to both audit and accounting. After which I worked for two Big 4 firms EY and KPMG. My highest role at KPMG was as a advisory manager. My current role is financial controller at A. I. Davis & Co a medium sized chemical manufacturing company.

What would your younger self say if they could see you now?

Younger 'Linda' hated figures and aspired to be a nurse. If we met today she would be both shocked and proud of my career choices and professional achievements. ACCA is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I am living my purpose without regret. Grateful to God, family and my four employers for contributions towards me being an 'FCCA' of the global body of professional accountants.
