Tell us about your career journey – where did it all start?

My husband left and I had two children aged five and three to support. It was a scary time and we needed security for the future so I started studying for my ACCA qualification. I got a full time accounts job and also a weekend job and I self studied for my qualification as I could not afford college fees. I worked so hard and was extremely tired but with help from good friends and family I succeeded.

What would your younger self say if they could see you now?

It was worth all the hard work, don't give up on the dream.
